Hello UCSB community! I'm Tatiana Bonilla and I serve as the Chair of the Student Affairs Student Cabinet—assembling and leading the Student Cabinet is one of my responsibilities as the Stephen S. Goodspeed Intern in the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs. I am a third year English & Sociology double major from the San Fernando Valley, CA with an interest in Student Affairs and higher education. In the future, I hope to teach at the university level. With this platform, I want to implement meaningful programs that improve student life by bridging gaps that impact traditionally underrepresented students, especially first generation and low-income students. However, in higher education, ongoing collaboration and creative solutions about how to support all communities are essential, especially in times when equitable opportunities are threatened.
